From 21 to 23 May 2026, GLOBSEC Forum 2026 took place in Prague, Czechia, bringing together more than 1,800 participants from over 75 countries, including political leaders, experts, innovators, and representatives from civil society to discuss key global challenges and the future of democratic governance.
As partner of ScaleDem, GLOBSEC represented the project at the Forum through the distribution of project materials, such as leaflets, and by introducing ScaleDem in informal discussions taking place alongside the conference programme. These exchanges created opportunities to present the project’s objectives and ongoing activities to a diverse international audience working on democracy, participation, governance, and civic engagement.
The Forum also provided a valuable context to strengthen connections with stakeholders interested in democratic innovation and to increase awareness of ScaleDem’s work among policy, research, and civil society communities.
Participation in events such as the GLOBSEC Forum highlights the importance of dialogue, exchange, and network-building in fostering democratic innovation and strengthening the active involvement of civil society actors across different contexts and sectors. These are also core elements of the ScaleDem community, which actively works to create connections, share experiences, and support mutual learning among actors engaged in democratic participation and innovation.
